Travel Support

How To Apply

Thanks to NSF funding, we are able to support approximately 20 graduate students and postdocs to attend the workshop. Each graduate students or postdoc who wishes to apply for a travel award is required to present a poster and also give a three-minute oral presentation on their research. Research topics should be closely related to the theme of the workshop.

To be considered for funding, please send the following (via email) to Dr. Whitney Huang (wkhuang@clemson.edu) no later than April 15, 2023.

1. Current resume or CV.
2. Poster title, author list with affiliations, and abstract.
3. A letter of support from a faculty member or supervisor familiar with the applicant’s research. The letter should verify the applicant’s status as a student or a postdoc.

Travel costs will be reimbursed after the workshop. Before booking airfare or any other travel expenses totaling more than $100, you must first email the cost and itinerary to wkhuang@clemson.edu to receive advance permission. Travel expenses that are not pre-approved may not be reimbursed.
